Control with Your Voice
Control your dash cam with your voice. Just say “OK, Garmin” to save a video or still picture, start/stop audio recording or start/stop the Travelapse video capture feature.


Capture the Scene
With an extra-wide 180-degree field of view, this dash cam captures more of the environment — including cross traffic — and includes detailed time and GPS location data, pinpointing exactly where and when events occurred. It records nonstop in a continuous loop. Play back the footage right on the dash cam display — or review on your phone using the Garmin Drive app.


Dash Cam Auto Sync
Dash Cam Auto Sync wirelessly connects up to four Garmin Dash Cams at the front, back and sides of your vehicle to provide virtually complete 360° coverage. If you save a video on one dash cam, the others will also save it. Use the Garmin Drive app on your smartphone to create a “picture-in-picture” video from any two perspectives at the same time. This makes it easy to share videos with friends, insurance agencies or legal authorities.

The Travelapse feature provides an easy and fun way to record and share your adventures by condensing hours of driving into minutes of highlights.


Drive with Increased Awareness
Driver alerts help you keep track of vehicles around you. Forward collision, lane departure and a “Go” alerts work to enhance your driver awareness. Receive alerts for red light camera and speed camera (not available in all areas) locations with subscription-free updates via Garmin Express.

    Very good Dashcam but…

    I am very happy with the video quality and the 66W is the reason.
    I wanted 1440 pixel resolution. It is instant proof of how poor many other drivers are.
    The camera needs a SD card (about the physical size of a finger nail).
    I had to spend one day solving the 32GB SD card limit. Larger capacity SD cards do not use FAT32.
    Larger SD cards must be reformatted with FAT32.
    The camera should be sold with an available choice of SD cards (size in GB) all pre-formatted in FAT32.
    Of course, the higher the capacity, the greater the cost. It is easy to connect to your laptop (use your cell phone charging cable, not the cables with the camera).
    You can view the MP4 files (about 1 minute each). Each is numbered and follows sequentially in the unsaved folder.
    Simply erase unneeded files, or allow the camera to overwrite.
    With a card of 128 GB (reformatted to FAT32), I expect to get about 10 hours of camera time before overwriting begins. The save video option becomes less important with a high capacity SD card.

    Excellent product for the money

    Super easy to setup, plug in and go. Connects quickly to the app. Video quality is very good. Crash avoidance feature works very well.

    The best camera I bought so far

    I got this as a replacement for my dash cam 55. Quality of the cam and the wide view is very nice. The onboard options are even better, you can update the firmware from your phone without connecting to the computer, the live view from phone is a nice feature. Option for a bigger memory card for more recording is a plus. The new feature to allow you to link u multiple dash cam so they can synchronize record with picture in picture is pretty cool.
